![]() Happy Holidays! For homework this week we were doing descriptive paragraphs of a Christmas tradition. This paragraph represents just one of the few traditions my family has around Christmas time. I had a lot of fun writing so I hope you enjoy reading it! Christmas Eve Crunch, crunch, crunch! The ice breaks underneath my rubbery white boots. I cautiously walk towards the door of my cousin's house, being careful I don’t slip on the clear frozen water. I reach the cement porch with a retro chipped bench and a soft blue pillow. I can see the flashing lights reflecting off of the designer glass panes on both sides of the almond coloured door. I turn around to take in the gorgeous warm white lights placed around a tall naked tree. Ruff ruff! While Duke (my cousin's dog) is bolting towards the door with his silky brown hair waving from side to side I can hear muffled chitter chatter coming from the inside. My cousin reaches the door and swings it open, “Hello!” she says with excitement. Duke gets so excited that he runs out the door as fast as he can and starts jumping up and down. Once my family has all reached the door we walk inside. The fun has started.

![]() Thinking of just 10 things we value might seem easy until you actually try to do it yourself. But to have an even bigger challenge, try getting rid of 5 of those 1 things. Now that's a challenge. Which is why I am making this blog. To tell all of you 10 things that I value. With a twist. Keep reading to find out what the twist is! Top 10 things I valueAfter thinking long and hard I was able to choose top 10 things I value,
Dramatic music starts playing* Oh no! Huge red and orange flames fly into the air. The ten things you value the most are standing in front of you. You have to escape fast, but you can only bring 5 things with you when you escape because you don't have enough hands for everything. What 5 things will you take? What five items will you through in the fire? I would get rid of...
You run and run down the stairs as fast as you can. BOOM! You're just about to reach the door but then parts of the roof fall down into your path! You now only have a small space to escape. But you have to get rid of 2 more things so you can enough hands to escape? What are the next 2 items you are going to get rid of? The next 2 items I would get rid of to escape the fire would have to be my ...
I would get rid of my glasses because I usually have to get new glasses every 2 years because my prescription usually changes. So I would have to get rid of them eventually anyway! I'm sad to say this but I would have to choose to get rid of my aloe plant. I chose my aloe plant because even though that exact aloe plant is irreplaceable and the way it felt and grew will never be the same, you can still replace it. So it's better than never being able to replace it! You've escaped safely, unlike quite a few of your valued items! Now let us take a look at what you have left after the fire...
I chose to keep these items because they're all really important to me and they are irreplaceable.
Now to the specifics | \/ I chose to keep my family and friends because they are all people I love and care about. I also care about too much to "ditch" them in a fire to keep a silly poster. My family and friends are always here for me whenever I need help. So keeping them is the most important to me! I chose to keep my health because staying healthy is beneficial for our mental and physical health. After doing a little bit of research I have found 3 reasons being healthy is beneficial,
Over the past 3 months, I've been able to notice a lot about myself like, how I procrastinate and how I clear my mind. The first thing I learned about myself is that I procrastinate so much! For example, for things like homework and studying, I'll sometimes say to myself "yeah, I still have 2 hours, I'll start the homework in 10 minutes.". Well 10 minutes later, (a.k.a 2 hours later) homework is not done and I wait until the next day. I have gotten better at this because I now try my best to start my homework over the weekend instead of Thursday or Wednesday.
In September I quit dance because I had a lot of injuries, my mom told me that I had to find something else to do after school. So after lot's of searching, I found a yoga place for kids around my age. Also, a few days after a yoga club started at my school. I started doing yoga and realized how beneficial it was for me. After yoga classes, I always feel energized and relaxed which is why I continued it. So during these past few months, I've learned lot's about myself, and how in my opinion how we should all take the time to reflect on ourselves to learn about ourselves to help us with situations in our lives where we need to understand what we need. Thank you.
